Your folders
Add or edit a Markdown file on either Mac. The newest version is copied to the other side at the interval you choose, or when you press Sync Now.
Choose the iCloud Drive location once. Every connected local folder receives its own named subfolder there.
Select the same shared iCloud location and Sync finds the folders already there. Choose where each one should live on the new Mac, review what will be copied, then confirm the first sync.
If two different versions exist, Sync keeps the newest and preserves the other as a clearly named conflict copy.
Ordinary files
Sync works with Markdown and text files inside folders you already use. They move between your Macs through iCloud Drive and remain accessible in Finder and any app that can open them.
Deliberate safeguards
Deletions are not propagated automatically. Removing a file on one Mac therefore cannot silently erase the other copy. Hidden files, packages, symbolic links and unsupported formats are ignored.
